EMS Reference is a free, comprehensive website with updated, best-available information for EMS instructors, students and field providers. The goal of EMS Reference is to comprehensively and conscientiously address the practice of paramedicine. To learn more, visit About EMS Reference.

There are three types of content in EMS Reference:

EMS Reference requires references for all cited materials. Those references are checked by reviewers and formatted by our editors using the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals. They are also reviewed annually when articles are updated.

Our content is always evolving, expanding in breadth, and being updated alongside shifts in current best practices. We employ a web-based publication system and a dedicated group of well-versed subject matter experts to ensure this evolution is fast yet scientifically rigorous.

Our contributors are subject matter experts who have volunteered as authors, editors and reviewers. They include instructors, field paramedics, and emergency medicine physicians based all over the US and Australia.
