Firefighter/Paramedic for the City of St. Petersburg, Florida

Travis Witt, MPPA, EMT-P, is a firefighter/paramedic for the City of St. Petersburg, Florida. He earned a BS in health sciences with an emphasis in emergency management from George Washington University and a master’s degree in public policy and administration from Northwestern University. Travis started his EMS career in 2001 after completing EMT school at St. Petersburg College and became a firefighter in 2004 after graduating from Hillsborough Community College.

Additionally, Travis has been a hazardous materials technician with the St. Petersburg Fire Department since 2006 and a flight paramedic for a fixed-wing air ambulance company since 2008. He also served as a staff paramedic for the Tampa Bay Rays for five years. Travis has also been the chairperson for the St. Petersburg area Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) chapter since 2013. He has eight years of teaching experience in EMS, most recently with Southeastern College.
