Arthur Hsieh

Arthur Hsieh, MS, NREMT-P, is the program director at Santa Rosa Junior College's paramedic program, where he leads faculty and administrative functions for the paramedic education program. He is also the editor-in-chief of, where he directs editorial content for industry news and education resource site; manages editorial contributors; and recruits and develops new columnists.

Previously, Mr. Hsieh was the San Francisco Paramedic Association chief executive officer and education director, the program director for Hospital Consortium Education Network in Burlingame, Calif., and an assistant professor at George Washington University. He also held several positions in the City and County of San Francisco Fire Department and San Francisco Dept. Public Health Paramedic Division.

In addition to his full-time EMS education career, Mr. Hsieh has written several textbooks and served on several advisory boards in a leadership capacity. These include being on the National Association of EMTs Advanced Medical Life Support Executive Council, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation EMS in the Future Roundtable and the NHTSA EMS Section National EMS Education Agenda Task Force. He has been a nationally registered paramedic since 1985.
